The number of people dropping their bikes and running away would suggest most of the bikes are stolen.

or they are afraid of getting shot ;)

Looks like a gang of scrotes though, no plates riding through traffic causing disruption. What did they think would happen?

This seems to be a common thing in the US, where large groups of riders go out and cause mayhem on the road. Luckily it hasn't evolved over here yet.

The video in question looks like it was a police trap as there's nowhere for them to escape, high walls on both sides and police on both carriageways. Lots of bike left behind.

1 person was shot btw.

only 1 shot is a mild response in US terms.

As the article mentioned, this crap doesn't help the general impression of biking and bikers :(
