Edinburgh Airport Parking

Post by haiax0 »

Hello all,

I am flying out of edinburger next month at 0700 so need to be down there 0500 for check in.. Now I have in the past had the stomach to drive down mid morning and thrown the car in the flying scotsman car pack etc.

This time I am looking for a less tiring solution and quite fancy going down the night before, stashing the car where I can (car park etc.) then getting up a little less early near the airport to start my holibobs.

Any one got any good / reasonably priced life hacks your willing to share? I am seeing prices for parking and hotel at £150 over... I do not fancy paying that.. Any other bright ideas out there?

A fantastic place is Northcote Manor, might to be too much of a journey for your start time and airport choice and also a tad dear.... But it is fantastic and highly recommended!!

Have you thought about the travel in at the Gyle centre? It's on the tram line (first tram at 5) I am sure you could leave your car there

Don't know if it'd be any use for your needs but the Tune hotel at Haymarket is cheap as chips and right beside the station. Clean and tidy but small rooms and very 'no frills'. Great for one night stays.

Used that many times while in Edinburgh but parking has been a pain round that area! Was a strong contender though!
