Tim Hastings - Preparations complete:

Post by Zax »

With only days to go before the 2010 BSB season begins at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend, Falkirk’s Tim Hastings has completed final preparations for his debut season in the Metzeler 600 Superstock National Championship.

During an incredibly busy March, Tim has been testing at Mallory Park, East Fortune near Edinburgh and at Brands Hatch. For his final outing before the BSB series, Tim entered the MRO championship meeting at Snetterton on the 27th/28th March where he impressively took his first ever 600cc victory by bringing his superstock bike home in first place in the supersport class!

All of the pre-season testing has gone to plan as Tim adapts to his Team Green Kawasaki ZX6R. Lap times were encouraging at all the venues and valuable set up data was recorded at all the BSB tracks thanks to the expert advice from Gearlink Kawasaki in helping with the set up of the bike.

Tim is under no illusions as to the difficulty of the task which lies ahead, however he is ready to accept the challenge with the same enthusiasm and determination which took him to two successive British GP125 Academy Cup titles.

A special word of thanks must go to personal friends and sponsors, Mick and BB Eagle, Mick Simms and Tina Mason who between them made the trip to the Snetterton MRO round possible.

Big thanks are due to Robert Neilson for re-designing the layout of the Team Twister van and then fitting it out with a new worktop and cupboards.

Thanks also to all those who continue to support Tim's racing fund by donating via the "Twister........Powered by Fans" campaign, details of which can be found on Tim's website at www.timhastingsracing.co.uk
