Road racing at scarborough

Thinking of going to Scarborough on the 10 - 11 july for the racing at Olivers Mount. Never been before, any advice from anyone?

I have been a few times, it is well worth the trip. There are many good viewing points, where you can get up close and personal. The racing is fast and furious arround Olivers Mount Park, see here >

If you are camping the site is close to the pits. There are lots of B&Bs to choose from in the town.

Don't miss the parade of a thousand bikes along the prom. The Harbour Bar is THE place to have an ice cream whilst you watch the bikes go by.Image

Thanks for the info. Like most road racing, looks wild. Not much room for error though.

If you go before the event you can try a lap, it is well scarrrrrrrrrrry even at sensible speeds. :hippy

Guy Martin used to be the one to watch at this event, skimming the verges and generally being quick everywhere. Haven't been but have seen footage and it's not for the faint-hearted. A bloke I work with used to spanner for Guy and said he was on the limit all the time.

Craig Shirlaw been there last few years so u can support a local rider, it is bike week from this Sunday starting with a Barry Sheene Road Races
