Bandit brake calipers

Post by Tones »

Okies, picked up an old 600 Bandit to mess about on till I can get a decent st4.

Problem, rear brake caliper, went to strip it this morning, all bolts seized and cannae get it apart to change the pads, didn't want to use too much heat in case it went up the hose and melted all the plastic. Yes I sprayed the front and back of bolt with WD and left for an hour to soak in

Are the 1200 Bandits the same rear caliper as the 600 or are there any other alternatives? Seems there's more 1200 around than the 600 versions and no, I'm not wasting 140 notes on a new one :P

I've got a Bandit rear caliper sitting in my shed at home. You can have it if you want.
