All new aftermarket wheels are expensive.

Alternative suggestion do something with the ones that you already have... polished rims and colour matched spokes ?? ( Like Wiz has on his R1.. )

Otherwise you will may have to start saving your cash for an aftermarket set.

silver rims with candy blue in the centre fading out on the spokes will look good on your sv :2up :2up

IMHO if you go for anything other than a good one colour (either silver or black) you'll only end up knocking off ££'s from your eventual trade in price for only a cosmetic change.

If it was me I'd only get them powder coated if they the paint was begining to be effected by the elements, otherwise I'd save your cash for tyres!

Having said all that, if you want to change the wheels then go for it!

Hell, the amount I've forked out on my bikes in the last few years I've got a cheek to talk! As the old saying goes, "do as I say not what I do"!!! :oops

thats a matter of opinion ,

some mods to wheels can really make a bike look alot better and maybe make the bike more desirable when it comes to selling/trading it in

ok then Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) in my humble opinion the world would be a pretty boring place if we all had either black or silver wheels or even bog standard bikes for that matter !!!

whats wrong wi changin the appearence o your bike to make it look better/more individual than other peoples bikes

i must say tho toonser changing your wheels on your bike seems a bit drastic to me when there is so many things u can do to your wheels to make them look more interesting/individual , rim stripes still suck tho !!! I can't believe it's not butter!

He's already said it was his OPINION, so any answer to this is pointless.. it's still just an OPINION.

:roll

Personally I think it's pointless too. :2up

Anything which makes the bike easier to identify is a bad idea IMHO.

If you want to mod that's fine, but you will be restricting potential resale to people with exactly your taste.

Is the weather, like, completely pants at home right now?
Jeez, some tetchy people on the board in the last day or so.

Changing wheels to make you feel good about the bike is a good thing.
Anything that makes you feel good and doesn't cause anyone else a problem, is good.

Paying for bandwidth to have people have a go at you, saintly!

Must be the phase of the moon, my entire loving crew have been at it today, feel more like mother Teresa than my actual job desription today.

y'all have a nice day now . . . .

I know!

Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) has put his own opinion across (which is about customizing bikes for f*ck sake!) and R1BALDY2 is going nuts over nothing!

Jeez chill..... :roll
