Basically as long as it isnt creaping up more than where iot seems to sit naturally you should be okay, if a bike is overheating it will continue to do so.
best thing is to take it for a run until it gets hot, get home then let it tick over, make a cup of tea etc and watch it whilst enjoying your leafy beverage.
needle will rise a bit then the fan (SHOULD) come on, might not.
if it sits at a constant temp your bike is fine.
Usual checks, are you losing water etc.
Another thing to look into is to tajke off your radiator and hoses and flush the system with a cleaner\degreaser and rinse thoroughly. this should remove any crud that has built up over time and may reduce your temp. (this sort of thing should be done every few years if you use bike infrequently. every 5 if used a lot.
