PRE TT CLASSIC
Eddy Wright riding the Pre TT Classic event finished 3rd place and had been 2nd for most of the race but was pushed back into 3rd by veteran Dick Hawes riding a Busch Big Mans Wanger. Eddy's throttle cable failed on the penultimate lap and it was a miracle he got over the line. Eddy enjoyed the ride and was happy with 3rd considering the bike was only finished on the Thursday.
RACE A
After such a successful year last year on his debut at the TT there was a lot of pressure on Dougie to do well this year. After a bad practice week up till the friday with problems with the fuel pump and tank, Doug and Stu managed a 110mph on Friday night's practice, thanks to Steve Norbury for supplying us with a different fuel tank.
Saturday's race came and Doug and Stu were feeling confident having put a good lap time in the previous day. They were moved up the numbers from 19 to 14. After the first lap the pair had put in a good lap time and were doing well. The second lap came round and they were in 7th but fluttering between that and 8th. On the third and final lap Doug and Stu managed to hold down 6th place and could have easily been 4th or 5th but they went slighty off the mountain at Brandywell and just managed to keep it going. They were both ecstatic with 6th place and couldn't wait to do it agian.
Dougie decided on Saturday that he wanted to stay with the Shelbourne and give Ed the LCR as he has fallen in love with it. Big thanks to Joe Shelbourne.
RACE B
From Eddy
Dougie Wright riding the Eddy Wright's Honda F2 outfit has again finished in the top 10 in Sidecar Race B at the TT. Doug in only his 2nd TT has taken on the established stars and finished among them beating many seasoned teams. His proud dad ex TT racer, Eddy, puts it down to Dougs skills and determination and the excellence of Joe Shelbourne and Honda products.
