Laptop Batteries

Post by Angel By Name »

Where is the best place to get a battery for a laptop and what kind of run-time should I expect to get from a new battery?

It realy depends on the machine and usage.

My XPS battery will run for about 90 mins with light usage or 60 if I am transfering files to disk for example.

Best advice I was given
"ride for yourself and don't watch my back wheel"

Tell us what laptop you have and we can find you one ;)

My media laptop probably does an hour and 10 under load but its HUGE my girlfriends netbook get about 2-3hours

A standard laptop (15") can usually be around 1.5hours but theres no hard and fast rule really.

:cheers

The one I have lasts just over an hour or so at full tilt but a bt longer if I change the settings so maybe its not that bad after all?

Never had a laptop and assumed would last around 6-8hrs!

I must think much more of technology than it thinks of me... :roll :log
