whats average running temperature? took mine out for a blast today after putting new coolant in after my egg run fiasco and it was a constant 75-78 at speed and crept up to 87 when riding at about 25-30mph, fan looks fine etc but it dont kick in at any point, Ive got a haynes manual somewhere but i cant flippin find it!!

The bike will run normally around 80 degrees.
In traffic it might go to 110, but this is normal. The fan would come on about 100-105.

Mine (600K1) runs a bit lower than that normally around 60C on the motorway

Scorps, your temp readings sound fairly normal for the ambient temp and a spot of slow riding. Yup, GSXR fans @ 104 -105 cut in. Go off @ 96.

Yep sounds right........ Start in the garage and leave it ticking over till the fans kick in to check they are working ......Might be why it overcooked
