White van mans (2). WTF is it with them?! Tuesday afternoon, heading towards Banchory via Westhill. I'm in the outside lane heading west, and the white van from 5 Mile Garage pulls out from the median straight in front of me doing maybe 33mph. I'm in a Mercedes 4x4 with lights on, do I need a flashing fcuking light? He then sits in the outside lane at his top speed of 45mph, like a westhill wifie. Maybe it was.

Then yesterday, again heading home, same direction. I'm in a different car, Audi this time. White van sails around Kingswells roundabout, just ahead of me but in the slow lane. Just as he gets round, he swerves into the outside lane and then sits there at his top speed of maybe 45mph, like a westhill wifie. But I know he wasn't a westhill wifie cause I had a good look at him on the way past, the inside lane was clear nearly all the way to Westhill, but maybe he too thinks that lane's only for passing. Maybe his wife was in there beside him and he was teaching her to drive.

Does Scotland import these people? Just 4 months until the GS is back on the road...sigh.

It's cold, it's wet, it's the Scottish winter. Bike's are tucked up in the garage until weather improves, although there's usually a week in mid-February. I have thought about running it to Kuwait and leaving it there for my rotations, but....naaaah. Will plug in battery tender tonight.

It's a new GS, still the honeymoon period. All things good (now that the front tyre pressure issue is sorted)!

Nice to see that one of the best “adventure” bikes produced is being tested to its limits

... Having a useless hurt shoulder, and not being able to ride till next year, not being able to play soccer, not having full use of my right arm, taking the bus, walking, bus drivers, waiting for buses, seeing others on bikes just about everything right now.. :(

Pro's.. Can still drink, don't have to worry about driving, can drink whenever I want, don't have to take it easy as I am driving the next day, have soccer etc :)

Don’t you just hate...Having nice toasty warm hands holding onto the heated grips, than having to use the clutch and grabbing an ice cold lever

Seeing a car understeer on ice, into a grass verge on a downhill right-hand corner... knowing that in four seconds time you will be riding over the same stretch of road

Don’t you just hate...

The fact that, whatever organisation you ring, you ALWAYS get the trainee who has to put you on hold and ask the person sitting next to them what to do next, wasting your phone credit and flattening the battery on your mobile.
