Re: NW 200 practice live
Could be quite close this year as McPint and Amour missing with endurance ,Cummings not fully fit ,Hutchy out with leg. Martin ,Dunlop or Seeley might be on top or even Rutter is looking not to bad
Looks like you will get the practice on Thursday and racing Saturday from the same link. There is also live coverage on the "Red Button" from 10:30 AM on Saturday
I unfortunately wont manage to watch it on the TV as i will be watching it live from the side of the road at the NW200

Re: NW 200 practice live
FFS. Finally Stuart Easton gets a bike, where he might finally live upto the promise in BSB, and he goes and breaks his leg at the NW200.
MSS Kawasaki riders Gary Mason and Stuart Easton have crashed out of this morning’s practice for the NW200.
Easton, currently sitting third in the British Superbike championship, is believed to have suffered a broken femur and a possible pelvic injury and has been taken to hospital for further observations.
Gary Mason is believed to have been given the all-clear.
NW200 Technical Director Mervyn Whyte said: “Stuart Easton and Gary Mason were involved in an incident at Station Road during the first practice session this morning.
"Stuart Easton has been taken to Causeway Hospital with a suspected fractured right leg and pelvis. Gary Mason was able to walk away. Further updates will be issued in due course.â€
Further information as we get it from MCN’s reporter on the scene, Gary Pinchin.

Re: NW 200 practice live
Well Baldy, Boydie, Rick & Blueflame left this morning at half six & are currently on a ferry heading towards Ireland (whilst i am stuck at work with Auditors ) .. They did hit a wee bit of rain on the way down but nothing bad & nothing like their last 2 years. Most of their ride down has been blue sky. Fingers crossed it stays what way for them as there is nowt worse then knowing you are stuck with the rain for days on end .steve wrote:baldy wrote:Aye was a good interview with him trying to spik a posh Would be good to see him do wellCoddy wrote:Good luck to Les Shand.

Re: NW 200 practice live
Just had a call from Baldy & i believe Easton has a badly broken leg & pelvis wishing him a speedy recovery.
Other than that they are having a blast & said everything is going well, today they are chasing blue sky's At least it is dry for them over there (unlike here)

Re: NW 200 practice live
Racing abandoned due to oil spill. Looks like a big spill, good (but difficult) call for the organisers.

Re: NW 200 practice live
I feel a bit sorry for those who have travelled over for this race meeting as it has been abandoned.
I suppose that there is very little the organisers could have done to clear a big oil spill up if it was raining

Re: NW 200 practice live
Was watching it on the BBC red button thingy. Bit of a carry on to be honest. It was already stop-start because of the rain, which is understandable, then there was the bomb hoax and to top it off Farquhar's ZX-10 shat itself and put oil over a good 2 miles of the circuit.
Bad enough from the comfort of my sofa, never mind standing out in the rain.

You have to wonder why there is not a contingency to run on into the Sunday.

Re: NW 200 practice live
Having looked at the bbc iplayer, it is hard to imagine clearing miles and miles of an oil slick
Of course I feel for the spectators and competitors, but if you have miles of a ‘racing track’ coated in oil and it is raining..what can the organisers do
Better to be safe...the racers are risking their lives, and if you have ever ridden on a duel carriageway roundabout in the drizzle/wet, you will know how massively different the grip levels are compared to the dry
Road racers...I probably do more miles per year than them...but I am not worthy ...they are at such a different level...I applaud you ...be safe
