He is a very complicated young man, but I did not see that coming. He has never won the support of the fans that his talent deserves and I will miss his flamboyant riding style.

was never a fan of his personally, found him a bit whiny but maybe thats the aussie bit....but he could ride the wheels off anything, love the fact he partially tamed the duke that rossi struggled with....but it does seem a shame to lose a so clearly talented rider.

I find it strange that people complain about his personality. Who are his rivals, Dani 'Punchline' Pedrosa and Jorge 'Laughalot' Lorenzo (yes, I came up with those myself). He's there to be good at riding a bike, not to pretend to be Rossi.

I guess he's realised MotoGP need him more than he needs it so he'll happily go and mince around in a V8 car in Oz then go home to his family at the end of the weekend.

At the end of the day, he wasn't interested in the bullsh1t of PR, or endorsing stuff. Just wanted to ride a bike.

Who else managed to do anything on the Ducati. Bayliss and Caparossi with a win each i think was all it was.
No one has ever done anything on the bike in what, 7-8 years.

Rossi won't get the bike, or his old Yamaha back if Lorenzo goes to Honda. But it opens things up for others.
I predict that Bradle will move upto Repsol. Marquez with replace Bradle (with Marquez replacing Pedrosa in 2014 on the Repsol).

I read somewhere that Honda were trying to have the Rookie rule scrapped, that might open the door for Marquez to get a factory ride.

I don't think there's any chance of seeing Rossi on a Honda again, not after the way they parted company. Possibly a satellite Yamaha, but I think his days of challenging for the championship are behind him. He's certainly the best I've ever seen, but time and tide wait for no man.

edit - Rossi's sustained period of success is what I'm referring to, on his day Stoner has proved he has the measure of him.
