No, I don't seem to find out about these things until the day of the event, by which time I usually have something else organised (or the weather is bad so I would not go anyway.) A ride to Edinburgh and back plus a few hours marching in the rain is not worth it - one more or less attendee will not make any difference. The real battle will come after 31st October or before a general election, whichever comes first, in my opinion.
