Virtual Pub Night

Post by Zathos »

A few of the old, (yes you are all old) biker peeps had a virtual skype call last night to raise a glass for Calum (Chaos) and general catch up banter.

Many tall tails were told and it was a good atmosphere.

Thinking about setting up a regular casual drop in style call. Perhaps once per month for an hour?

Anyone have thoughts, suggestions?

Was a good laugh and much needed catch up. I'm. Game for whenever I can manage. Was looking at zoom as an option from folks comments but seems its limited to 40mins vid chat if more than 2 people. After the time limit everyone gets booted.

I think that whoever had the idea in the first place must be a genius and damn fine looking chap. An all round scholar and a true credit to society. Modest too. :biggrin2

However, I reckon that perhaps Team's may be the way to go as everyones videos were dropping out on Skype for me (don't know about anyone else)? Also another suggestion would be for whenever people aren't talking that they mute their microphones.

Big credit to Bigsteve and the man who had the wrong colour of wheels on his Tuono for arranging. I've never 'set up' a Team's meeting before, only participated, but I'd be happy to have a go.

Teams is a more stable system.

Just needs someone with teams account to host the meeting and post a link somewhere. Should be an easy feat for an all round scholar ;)

Happy yo test it out with ya mate.

Oh and I did promise the chaos vid link and I can't remember if everyone was still on the call when is finally uploaded.

Aye, a wiiz duncin away to the vid on the call. Too much whisky πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.

I have teams and could try set up for end of Feb if you want. Shouldn't be too difficult, got most folks email addresses.

Correct coloured wheels are a must though!

I seem to remember getting kicked from the call at one point for some comment I made about the Tuono. Don't think it was to do with wheel colour though ;)
