Clutch problems

Post by yammie66 »

Got problems with clutch on my Genesis 600, when you dip clutch in neutral the clutch housing starts whirring, when driving (i was gonna say riding but you know what there like on here) there seems to be a grinding kinda noise, although runnin fine, anybody got any ideas ????

I have had clutch problems in the past ie: main shaft snapping, but has been replaced.

I do plan a major rebuild and tune of engine but bit early as had to take FAZER out in this sh*t weather which not happy about.
Any advice would be apreciated

Cheers Mark :2up

maybe, but that would explain the whirring noise when clutch depressed, but would that cause the grinding noise, really does sound nasty :eek

Could be the bearing at the far end of the layshaft (opposite side to clutch). Had one go on me many years ago and made a very similar noise.
