Tyres are always a good subject to rant about .....

I use Pirelli Super Corsa's all the year round, dry, wet hot cold whatever (XJR1300), its a no brainer cos my garage is stacked with em after a years racing which makes them free ..... Just needs a little bit of brain usuage with tyre pressures ... cold weather, use less (keeps em hot) ......

Which brings me to the point that used race tyres can be had for around 25 to 50 quid a set (depending on how hard you haggle) at any race circuit, why would anyone pay 150 quid plus for tyres for their road bikes .. when u can scoop these for next to nothing.

maybe Im just a tight git ........... but if you can race in febuary (2 degs) on a morning damp track on super corsas, then road riding is a cinch ....
