Still going strong but some of the days I'll take the cage. Looking to hibernate shortly though as had a couple of slippy moments. Will be out for santa run on 8th December though!

I probably should seing as last years salt destroyed my brakes. I really should give them a wee clean up at some point..

I'm still using mines daily, but reckon once all this predicted snow appears I'll tuck it up until it disappears.

had a wee slip at STD machar drive/king STD roundabout yesterday morning, will tuck the bike away on the 3rd or 4th december

I'll continue to commute on the DR600 into the new year when it'll get a much deserved restoration. Did notice the front brake was getting a bit spongy(notoriously weak on DR600's) so I'll change the fluid, pads and master cylinder piston and seals. I have had the parts since I've had the bike so might as well use them.
After last winter, the exhaust headers are quite scabby and rotted the end can which was replaced with a CCM R30 item so may plump for new headers in the new year.
I haven't really noticed a drop in grip yet but, then again, I tend to drive like a blouse these days

Apparently I'll retire mine when the Hi/Lo/Flash switch breaks and despite B.M.W knowing it's a common fault, they hold zero stock and the buggers are on a back order for at least the remainder of November. Oh and Aberdeen's Techy quit (Craig) so Dundee has to collect it, fix it and deliver it back to Abergloom.

Retiring mine for 2 months on the 16th December, that's when I go for an op to try and fix a wrist I buggered last August after a close encounter with a box trailer. And direct contact with the A90.

Apart from this winter my bike is always on the road all year round. You get some lovely days in the winter to ride as long as the roads are dry or the frost has well lifted and the sun`s out AND your well wrapped up

Wll technically I should have retired the bike for winter this morning, but since we haven't moved yet and i've to get from BOD to westhill, guess i'll be chancing it for the next 2 weeks

Funnily enough the bike will stay ready to go for any decent days but the Bimmer has now been laid up for the winter and the Landie dragged back in to service

funnily enough, the roads seemed okay today however pulling into my works car park, it was doing an extremely good imitaion of an ice rink!
