Dropping your bike in front of several of your fellow motorcycle club members and most of the people in the Alford car park while at the Grampian Motorcycle Convention :oops

We've all done it to some extent. I remember just after I got my first Bandit stopping in the car park at Banchory where there were loads of other bike parked up. Everything was going well till I came back to my bike and tried to ride off with the disk lock on! :oops

Ouch, though what annoyed me most Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) was that it was a pretty easy low speed turn and I have done a lot tighter before. Though like you said it happens to everyone so it was really just a matter of time for me.

And at filling stations...stopping the bike, chatting to your fellow biker that is off their bike, then getting off yours after you have forgotten to put your side stand down :oops

I was lucky enough to have a fence and the aforementioned biker to stop my wee bike kissing the ground, but I have seen many a bike hit the dirt in similar situations :(

Also when stopping facing down hill, do not forget to leave your bike in gear, as I have seen a few bikes start moving down hill and the side stand was not able to stop them :???

Thats something my dad has told me and made me do ever since I started riding on the road, but then again I tend to leave it in gear most of the time to hinder any thieves incase they ever try to nick my bike.

As with Dave, last year I also forgot to extend my sidestand when dismounting my bike at a petrol station. Lucky for me I was with some other riders who, once they had stopped laughing, picked the bike off my leg.

I have also once managed to knock my bike off its side stand while it was parked in my driveway. The bike didn't have any damage on it but the same couldn't be said for the door of my car!

It's a religous festival which has been swamped by rampant commercialism. Where you are judged by what you give, rather than the act of giving.

Where people spend far more than they can aford to give thngs which aren't needed / wanted.

;)
