It's a religous festival which has been swamped by rampant commercialism. Where you are judged by what you give, rather than the act of giving.

Where people spend far more than they can aford to give thngs which aren't needed / wanted.

;)
I really couldn't have put it better myself. It makes me want to puke.

Realising that snow tyres aren't much use against a 30 degree slope covered in sheet ice after driving down without any hassle. :oops

RWD definitley didn't help!

Turned the traction control off, floored it till I ended up sliding backwards / sideways in a puff of smoke, aimed for the grassy ditch at the side of the road & then managed to get one wheel onto it (which was a fair achievement as the steering wheel was pretty much useless). My right wheel on the grassy bit gave me just enough traction to slowly crawl up the ice & onwards to freedom.

Cheers funcy diff. :worthy

Spending all weekend prepping a car for it's MOT, passing said MOT with one repair to do, then the fcuking clutch slave cylinder dying the next night...

Wonder if the courier with a new one will turn up tomorrow or not?

On a positive note it appears I can still remember how to drive with no clutch!
