My favourite bit is how you used the mini moto nose cone as a fly screen, and it looks really good to.

My current road bikes...
The good, the bad and the panzer...
The good: KTM 990 Adventure, why “the goodâ€...it does everything very well, very well, grin making, wheel spinning, twisty master, load carrying, grin making fun, and I love it !
The bad: Yamaha FZ1N, why "the bad"...why is a thousand cc four pot, naked, wheelie Monster of a high revving rice burning wheel spinning rocket ...bad...well it just is, and I love it !
The Panzer: Big Mans Wanger GS, why “the panzerâ€...it is basically old design (with some very ground breaking new design features), heavy, built like a tank in a country which is one of history’s biggest users of tanks, is dull...but... but it is so sensible and comfortable, don’t love it, but I do admire it.

I have the Gobi luggage.
Last year I had the panniers and top box packed, plus a kit bag with mats/sleeping bags strapped to the top box, along with my teenage son as pillion.
There is a slight decrease of acceleration , but still quicker off the mark than the GS with no luggage/pillion.
The KTM coped plugging thru 30cm plus of mud when exiting the Belladrum festival, but it was tricky.
As the rider, I prefer the control and response of the KTM, and I find it comfortable enough for all day riding.
My lad as a pillion, also prefers the KTM.
I would recommend the KTM for two up, for touring, for city 'filtering', for ripping up the twisties, and for shopping…I just take the panniers into the supermarket, fill them up, easy…if you do not take the panniers into the shop, there is a chance you can buy too much and not be able to pack it into the luggage.
The KTM..a proper multitool (and can make you ride like a tool as well…a tool with a huge grin on your face

)
I would recommend the GS for sensible reasons…is softer, the seats are wider, it has a longer range, often owned by very sensible people (apart from numpties that get nicked for speeding…note:the GS is the only vehicle I have been nicked on for speeding

).

One of the nicest proportioned and styled bikes ever made. Wish I wasn't 6'1" tall!
