I did a similar thing on my Bandit to mount the front indicators.

You get strips of aluminum out of B&Q and just spray it with matt paint.

Just remember the golden rule - "Measure twice cut once"!

In Kawasaki's defence I think that they're obliged to fit a rear mudguard that projects beyond the wheel. That's why they make it so easy to remove (possibly for track days too, but the Z1000 is the same and it's more road-biased).

Just another piece of useless information that's been rattling about between my ears. :knob

Try Rhencullen products...was speaking to them on a totally different subject when the conversation got onto your new bike. I mentioned the numberplate problem and they said they may be able to help. They already do a carbon bracket for several other new bikes.
