well when i start my bike jump on and go in first gear the revs will stick at lyk 5/6000 rmp and them it will sort of lyk cough and take off again, not to sure wat it is, i think my bike needs retuned but would like a second opinion if thats possible. Thanks

does the bike seem to pull when accelerating upto 5k/6k rpm then bog out and then slowly pick up and then pull fine in the rest of the range...

if so i had the same sorta problem on my gixxer 400 when i changed the downpipes on my bike the bike would bog out at that sorta point and then after that it would pull and pull fine. i found my that i had to adjust my needle height on the CV Carbs to allow a richer mixture and that sorted out my problem..

so i would say check to see if its a carb problem (if not an injection system) to see if your running too lean or rich. Does this happen when the bike is both cold and hot or just cold or hot..

the basic rule to knowing if your running too lean or rich is.. a rich problem will get worse when the engine gets hot and a lean problem gets better when the egine gets hots..

Also just try giving your carbs a clean..
