Hi all

Ledenon was good, so many blind corners :eek but all good fun. it was good to get back out on the bike. The bike is really good and felt superb, pwr & handling :log
I'm not sure what a good time for a 125 is around Ledenon but my own best time was a 1min33sec

Then we went to Barcelona to practise and race at Catalunya which was another first for me. Another great track and great weather :cool
On Friday in free practise I lapped at 2.03.6 and in qualifying on Saturday I got down to 1.58.3 which put me 27th on the grid. It's a whole different style of riding and I spent time trying to follow and learn from the Spanish riders. It was good being out with the Jnr Aspar guys and MotoGP Academy. My Honda was doing 136.8mph on the straight compared to the Aprilia and ktm's doing 143.6.

I got an absolute flyer of the line and must have been inside the top ten going into the first turn because my pit board said P15 after the first lap and i knew about six guys passed me on that same lap :eek
After lap two i was P17 and on lap three i went to pass for 16th but ran in too hot and clipped the other rider and ran straight on into the gravel :oops
When the marshals got me out and re-started, i was last and on my own :disbelief I carried on for a few laps but the bike felt like the tyre was flat so I came in and retired. The team checked the bike and found nothing wrong and the team owner told me it was all in my head :nono
He said it is hard to regain concentration and try to be competitive after running quite high up then running off at 120mph and re-joining the race right at the back with no-one in sight. Another lesson learned i suppose ;)

A pity about the race result but overall it was a good week and i'm feeling confident for the BSB GP125 championship that starts at Brands on the 4th april.
I've been getting up at 5am and going out cycling for about 30km then back home to get ready for school and then another 30km when i get home from school so i'm well up for the start of the season.

Thanks everyone for reading and being interested

I managed to qualify on the 2nd row. i was on the first row in P2 for quite a while but with 12 minutes to go i had to come in with a slipping clutch and had to watch as i dropped to 8th. still, it's my best qualifying so far and i know i can go faster, so bring on the race...........

You got any idea if ther'll be a channel to watch it on down here?
Looking for something to fill my Sunday night that's a bit more interesting than the 4 floors.

Thanks to all for the support :cool
Friday was cool to top the timesheets for the first time ever at this level and then to put it on pole in the wet today was just fantastic and this while he has a reall bad cold at the moment.
He's had his flu medicine and is having a well earned lie down at the mo.
A minor glitch today was a 111mph off in q1 but fortunately no damage to tim and the bike wasn't too badly damaged. Out again in Q2 and this time under instruction from the team boss to circulate at a comfortable pace and only respond if his pole time was threatened.
Tim came off after riding around the outside of a slower rider while on a faster lap than his pole lap - teenagers, huh!

Anyhow, time for a :cheers and we'll see what tomorrow brings, for tonight we're top of the pile, that'l do nicely :cool

Unfortunately no. Real bummer. :(

Only thing I get to see here is MotoGP (so long as it doesn't interfere with F1 that is). WSB is available on the net but the comms are far too slow for that. Tried buying a live TV service, but it only gives live streaming and I can't download to watch later. :angryfire

Let me know if you come up with anything yourself.
