Just in the proccess of doing an oil and filter change (bandit 600) and I've gone all blonde
Tighten the filter two full turns from initial contact using the tool employed for removal
What is a full turn???
90, 180 or 360 deg

Don't got mad with tightening it. It just need to be a good hand tight.

Wasn't sure if a turn meant a turn of the hand i.e. 180ish deg or a 360

It is always quoted as a number of turns of the piece you are turning.

As Walter says, tighten it until it's tight, but as Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) says, not too tight. Just nip it up hand or even finger tight.
Always put a wee dab of oil on the rubber washer. Helps when time comes to take it off again.
