ok another one for the mechanically intelect among you, bike has been sitting for a while as the brakes were goosed, anyway, tried to start it the other day and the battery was deadish...after couple trys it ended up dead, so i hooked up the jump leads to the car to get a bit of charge into it, then the ignition lights went out and the bike was dead, took battery into wok and got the maintenance guys to check it, they checked it and charged it for 9 hrs as recommended, so i tried it in again tonight but not even getting ignition lights no life at all, had a look at the fuses i could see and none blown, anyone got any ideas?

Yup it is almost certainly dead ..... I'll give you a fiver for it
It can only be one of a few things.
Most likely it is the main fuse in the +ve battery lead. (that is where I would start.)
Did you check that the battery actually charged and was not toasted?

There is a 30 amp fuse at the starter relay on the left hand front side of the rear subframe, you should get to it by taking off the side panel. It should be just below the rear end of the petrol tank.

I always thought it best to make it a group affair, So make sure your with a load of Aberdeen bikers on run out and watch them try to bump start your bike from a suspected flat battery, then from a distance tell them about the Kill switch that you inenvertantly forgot to disengage.
I makes good viewing, but swap your boots for your Nike's at that point that was my mistake.
Once again thanks to all who helped you know who you are
