Front End Wobble

I picked up a bike down south on Saturday and rode it home cira 250 miles with no real problems. At one roundabout on the A1 I noticed a bit of a wobble from the front in a sharp right turn but just thought it was me not used to the bike so ignored it.
When I got to Aberdeen and was going over the drive downhill to the haudigan roundabout I relaxed my grip on the bars and noticed a real Front End Wobble at around 30mph. I noticed the wobble was there again under light acceleration but particularly when slowing down from around 40mph. It's a 98 CBR 1000F with fairly new tyres which have the correct pressure according to the handbook [38 psi].
Any suggestions regards what to look for / check?
Cheers

Check to see if your front disks are warped and that none of the pistons in the front calipers are sticking.

Buckled front wheel.
You say when slowing down, is this coasting or braking, could be buckled disc(s).

Wobble when slowing down coasting. I also noticed it under light acceleration.

Possibly loose or worn headstock bearings.

Could just be the bike.
The newer CBF1000 is prone to wobble at 30 if you take your hands off the bars. Especially when the topbox is fitted

I'd put my money on the disks. The old Firestorm was prone to warped disks especially if you let the front pads get more than half worn.

I've checked as much as I can ref handle bar movement through the forks forward / back / side to side and it all seems pretty tight. There's no sign of movement from the forks forward or back. I did have a top box on but there was nothing really heavy in it, probably 5 or 6kgs at best. Fingers crossed it's not the discs as I assume they'll be a bob or two!!

Sorry, forgot to say, there's no movement from the wheel to suggest wheel bearings....who knows!! I'll leave it to Ecosse to figure out I think. Cheers
