Russ was speaking about this today
There is a conection on the bandit that you just have to undo and it will remove the "Retard"( Not in all cases {IE the rider }but it will give you full power in the first two gears for a bandit )
For more info try the bandit mania site .

Yeah spoke to him b4 about that. But i think this is a different thing what with the fuel injection.
Just wondered if the same sort or gains can be had by fitting one of these to my bike

It'll pull bigger, quicker wheelies in 1st & 2nd if you remove it.

Basically Suzuki retard the ignition on the first couple of gears to reduce the risk of flipping the bike. If you really think you need a bit more thrust lower down ( fnaarrr fnaarrr ) then I'd just fit a smaller front sprocket and leave the electrics well alone. ( or get a 750 instead :I can't believe it's not butter! )

I have managed to lift the front by mistake on my CBR..so if I can do it on a grandads bike, a GSXR should be easy

Excellent choice, sir.
The ideal middle ground of power versus usability in my book.

ya cheeky buggers
I've done a whopping 2000 miles this year
Funny, I was thinking on turning up for the Sunday run this weekend. I'll have to wear my winter woollies though as I've been basking in 30C+ for the last three weeks. I'm finding it a bit on the nippy side just now
