Shamelessly stolen fron an e-mail I was sent.

GUY MARTIN was lucky to escape with minor cuts and bruises after a big crash in the first Supersport race at the NW200.
Tyco Suzuki's Martin lost the front of his GSX-R600 on the run along the Coast Road between the Railway Bridge and Black Hill. Team boss Philip Neill made the decision to sideline Martin for the rest of the NW200 races, after the Lincolnshire man took a heavy blow to his head.
The popular road racing star said: “I’m disappointed to miss out on the meeting and pretty frustrated as I didn’t feel I was doing anything wrong when I tucked the front, even though the bike does get a bit unsettled through that bumpy section. I had a really stiff neck after the crash and I had taken a bit of a battering so it was best to sit it out. I’ll be grand for the TT.”

First time I've been an what a crackin weekend
down to Glasgow in the pissing rain on the Wed night Glasgow, down to Troon in the pissin rain Thursday Morn a blast up the coast road in the pissin rain straight to the digs the beer oclock watched some of the racing thursday night.
Friday was dry so off for a tour about and went to Muff :arse before another nice run home for beer oclock

Saturday the sun was out but a bit breezy so didn't notice we were all gettin sun burn :oops Racing was excellent seen from the coast road then down to the Metropole for the last race of the day. before beer oclock

Sunday the sun was splittin the sky so did the tourist bit went to the giants causeway (not great walkin down to it in Sidi's!!) went to Ballamoney to the Donlop memorial and visit the exibition that was on. then another crackin blatt back to Port Rush for you guessed it beer oclock, chillin in the sun at the harbour bar watchin the world go by then through the back of the pub for the best steak I've had in a wee while, met up with some more lads later on but an early Ferry put paid to a proper sesh

Up at 430 on the Mon for a run down the main road to larn already the sun was shining, don't think the neighbours were too chuffed with the mates KTM takin an age to onto two cyls and another mates alarm goin off at that time :log but hey ho a traffic free run to Larne to be escorted by the police a few feet from my back wheel all the way from the town boundry to the ferry terminal. got overtaken by a police van on the M77 who proceeded to bully everyone else out the way at silly speed so sat on his back bumper for a change for a mega quick zip through Glasgow :log Was such a nice day wee took the long way back to Deeside and were still home for 1 oclock :arse

Lessons learned, Northern Ireland has some fkn great roads, the craic was great, the Glasgow police escort was far better than the Larne one, these racers deserve much respect I tried a full throttle attack on the road into Port Rush used in the race where they were clocking 180mph+ and the blackie was shaking its head all over the place at a mush slower rate, the suspensions fkd on the older BB, and I'll be back again for more of the same in the future :freebird

Cheers G ... it is posts like these that make me want to pull the finger out and get back on the bike-
and try harder to get to the TT / NW200 sooner rather than later. :2up

I am considering taking the bike over to Norway but that depends on timing and Work .possibly next year??
