Does anybody know how long your no claims bonus last for, i sold the bike about 2 1/2 years ago and that was the policy i had the most years on. Went to get a price for a new bike and was geting shafted on a policy with no NCB.

Was that just a single insurer you checked or did you use a site like Compare the Market? I only ask because I was quoted 500+ for my new bike from my current insurer and six companies were around £130 through them for the same insurance. Some of them appear to take into account NCD on driving a car, some don't ask for it.

You could always the likes of a "black box" insurance company
For my lads car, we managed to get quotes down from £2500 to £800
The "black box" only monitors stuff like: your location, time of day, speed, cornering/acceleration/braking g-forces etc
Should not be a problem if you have a panzer
