Could you chaps give any recommendations on any tyres you'd recommend?

I currently have a NC750X and it's original tyres (Dunlop Trailmax) are completely bald after only covering 2k! (Pressures etc correct)

I'm looking for something that has decent enough grip on wet and dry and can cover a decent amount of mileage.

I've been looking at the Pirelli Angel GT and they seem like a plausible option.

I'm on my 2nd set of pilot 3s, they seem pretty good

I always used Pilot Roads 2's, great for tyre life, decent grip.

I assume the PR3's are better.

Have PR3s on the Street and PR4s on the Daytona - too early to tell with the Daytona as I've only done about 100 miles on them, but I'd go for them when the PR3s I have need replacing on the Street. The difference with the PR3s and the OEM tyres in the wet was unbelievable for me. I found the Bridgestones slipping and sliding about, particularly on white lines, something that didn't happen once with the PR3s.

+1 for PR3's. Have had them on a Street Triple and VFR800 - they're great in the wet or dry.

Neil at Craigston Tyres has been singing praises about the new Pirelli Pilot Road 4's. I was going to get them fitted but opted with the Power 2CT's as can't see past them.

PR3's Are great tyres both in the wet and dry, expect that the PR4's are slightly better but don't know how long they will last. The tyres I like best are Dunlop roadsmarts,, not bad mileage and they stick like glue.

Tyres are a very subjective thing. I have had a few sets of Dunlops in the past and hated all of them. If you don't have confidence in the tyres then your riding will suffer.

I hear good things about the Michelins but I have never had a set.

If you don't like what you have currently then try something else and so on and so on until you find a model/manufacturer that you are happy with.

What is right for me may not be right for you.

Too true. Worth looking at riders with similar bikes and riding styles to you and trying what they like then go from there until you find something suitable.

I have heard reports of the PR3s not lasting long with heavier bikes (so fine for the Streety etc) - with Michelin saying the PR4s perform much better.

I got 8000 miles out of PR3's on my Sprint STD, now on PR4's and loving them.

if your not sure what to use, ask when you go in to sillets for tyres he will always give good advise if you tell him what you want to use the tyre for...

I have PR4s on the Gay Blade and had 2CTs on the VTR before I moved onto the Gay Blade. good grip on the PR4's even in the wet
