drying out leathers

Anyone got any tips etc for drying out and preserving leathers...got soaked tonight.

Hang the kit up and let it dry naturally. Shove some scrunched up newspaper down the arms an legs to absorb some of the moisture.

Then invistigate some sort of waterproofing and conditioning product for leathers. I swear by Nikwax products for my textiles.
