Non functioning Tail/Sidelight

My VFR 750 FJ currently has no working tail/sidelight
Front lights and brake lights all perfect, bulbs checked with new ones and still the same problem.
Continuity of general circuitry checked at mechanics and no immediate problems & connectors cleaned ( and charged me very little thankfully)
I can do most mechanical stuff but electrics is a dark art, wiring diagram is attached for those that can read hieroglyphics. Any ideas folks?
I'm gonna post on the VFR forums too but I'll have a bash here. Mechanics suggested stripping the front fairing and checking front light electrics as that's where they hadn't looked and i dont fancy putting it in as i know such tasks can be fairly time costly!

Ah, I was looking at one of these for my bike earlier this week, very confusing indeed!
The tail light seems to be connected to many different systems and other lights in one way or another - from reading about the electrical problem I was having any of them having a bad connection could possibly cause it not too work? I think you would have to follow each of the lines that come from the 'Tail and brake lights' section and rule them out one by one although that seems like a bit of a daunting task!
The headlight and tail light do seem to be connected so as the mechanic said that is probably a good place to start if they never looked there. Why didn't the mechanic check everything?
Sorry that is not much help

Good luck!

If your number plate light out is also out then I would check the 10A fuse on the parking light circuit.

they didn't look at everything cause it was in for sth else and I just mentioned it and they said they could have a wee look so I said sure but told them not to spent a load of time on it cause otherwise I'd be broke!
Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian), forgot to mention all fuses are in tact! its a mystery indeed!

Stick your key in the ignition and switch it to "park" and tell me if your side light come on.

Many a year ago i had an old vfr. Electrics were playing up and it turned out a chocolate bloc connector was loose. On my vfr it was under the nearside front fairing top cover. Maybe nae the same thing but worth a check.....

The VFR forums mentioned this and is my next port of call for checking

Yes it does. Hoping the above is where the problem is at
