A reminder that Thunder in the Glens is on this weekend in Aviemore.

If you are heading up there for a look, better get there early as the roads are proper blocked from noon on Saturday.

I am not sure you get any more local than the "Grampian Motorcycle Convention" this Sunday at the transport museum in Alford.

Defiantly the best transport museum in Aberdeenshire, and probably the biggest gathering of motorbikes in Aberdeenshire for the year.

And they have a very nice website to wet your appetite:

The event within the museum grounds is great, but also think about having a walk thru the public parking area...often there are many fine and unusual bikes parked up there

Aye! Funny story about that rule and the consternation it caused when the event insurers spotted it. Suffice to say it's not in the latest version of the document

Style of racing...just like the Haudagain roundabout on an average weekday, and weekends, except the cars at Crimond are in better shape
