How would that helmetlok thing work with the ratchet style closures on helmets?

Get the wire rope and loop thru the chin guard

Not all bikes has the ability to have luggage fitted, for practical, cost or cosmetic reasons.

Outside the "Bothy" in Ballater yesterday I noticed a lid with a wire attaching it to the handle bars of a bike.
Save having to carry the lid if you do not have the knob jockey luggage fitted to your bike.

a fine idea...I am just away to order the wire and lock from the above link

Maybe it's just me but I don't like leaving the lid hooked up to the bike regardless on how it is secured. I have heard of scrotes down south knicking them when armed with bolt cutters.

Just my tuppence worth chaps.

Helmetlok, I got a couple, one now located under the seat of the naked bike (only just).

Used it the other day while in Huntly, it made eating ice cream easier.
And probably stopped me dropping my helmet the same distance as my jaw while observing a young lady with her upper clothing about two sizes too small jog into the Rizza ice cream shop

So, for me this has been a great purchase, saving me the cost of a new lid

I have these under the seat on both bikes, used them a few times, well pleased but I will only use them is well populated areas or when they are within my line of site

if its my town helmet, then i just lock it at the back of the bike , if its my good day out helmet, I just carry the bugger, or never leave the bike out of sight when stopping, usually for a wee stretch of the legs/ice cream/food

but looks a usefull bit of kit, although i'd be inclined to bracket it alongside this
