What do normally carrying on your bike as standard, under the seat, in the top box/panniers, any spare compartments etc.

Me, well the S100RS has a couple of tools attached to the underside of the pillion seat, a very small tool bag under the pillion seat along with a Helmetlok and cable.
The main seat is screwed down, so that is faf all use for storage.

The MT-09 Tracer:
Under the pillion seat has a rubbish Yamaha small tool bag (which I keep meaning to swap out) and a Helmetlok c/w cable, the topbox has a small first aid kit with the addition of tick removal tools, foil blanket, roll 12mm wide electrical insulation tape. Also a helmet bag, spare ear plugs, baseball cap, spare buff, tinted UV safety specs and a couple of carrier bags.

On me: spare set of contact lenses (daily disposable) in each jacket, torch tied on the outside on the lower arm of my winter jackets, try to remember to have a spare set of ear plugs.
One of my jackets has a small pocket on the left wrist, great for the door entry works pass and a credit card, especially in bad weather, stops the need to faf with gloves and breaking the “weather seal” getting into work or at petrol filling stations.

Insulation tape, …so handy for so many things like:
Taping down the topbox/pannier if overfilled.
Taping odd items to the bike that won’t fit in the luggage, like tubes for garden air blowers, hedge cutters, lengths of domestic pluming pipe.
Applying extra compression on deep cuts/wounds.
Holding foil blanket in place.
Fixing bits of the bike that may be broken/snapped/cracked if you are involved in a wee scrape or a drop of the bike at a filling station.
And covering exposed electrical wiring.

I travel pretty light unless on a long journey...

Duct tape and insulation tape, bungee(s) and a Leatherman.

That covers most needs.

I used to carry the toolkit on my 750 but decided to stop that, underseat storage always was a faf, as I have the seat hump fitted so it's largely unused,.... for what little there is
In my tankbag, drawstring helmet bag, waterproof cover for said tankbag, a side stand puck, a couple of bungees, a disc lock and the fluorescent coil thingy so i don't forget i've got the lock on , a pen.
On my person I always have ear plugs + spares, a wee torch, a microfibre visor wipe, a neck tube

Additions if i'm out for a big run all day,
A spare t shirt/thin long sleeve top to go under my leathers (if its a leather wearing day), a spare visor, waterproof gloves, waterproof overjacket for leathers, a wee battery booster for my phone (if i'm using it a lot (pics etc)

Visor clean, thermal linings, cables ties and a roll of tape.

Used to carry a tyre inflation / plug kit but it soon got the punt as I let it corrode.

On the bike... disc lock, cargo net, puncture repair kit, tool kit for the bike.
On me... ear plugs, micro torch, phone.

I really must put some tape and ties back under the seat. I used my last lot up to secure my topbox lid when the lock popped out while riding.

Good addition by Quicksilver…”in your pockets”

Me, spare set of contact lenses (daily disposable) in each jacket, torch tied on the outside on the lower arm of my winter jackets, try to remember to have a spare set of ear plugs.

One of my jackets has a small pocket on the left wrist, great for the door entry works pass and a credit card, especially in bad weather, stops the need to faf with gloves and breaking the “weather seal” getting into work or at petrol filling stations.

I'm only 2000 miles into my biking life but I carry...

On me -

- spare contact lenses in case of bug in eye syndrome during slow ride visor up moment or vicious sneeze or really long day incident.

- my emtec moulded earplugs (work issue) that are fantastic at noise blocking on the bike but sh!te at offshore use

- couple sets of spare foam earplugs in case of loss of aforementioned emtec earplugs

- Shaded safety specs for sunny days as my new lid with built in sun visor hasn't arrived yet

- a tin foil blanket cos some random dude thought I'd need that more than some insulating tape or duct tape when I needed an emergency sh!te......

On my bike:

- a tool kit that isn't as big as a mars bar that most likely won't open a can of beans while waiting for my RAC to arrive for a potential breakdown.

On the Tiger = What ever I fancy carrying, usually water, food and tools
