Brake help

Had the caliper off my gpz900 tonight cos I wanted to check the piston was not sticking. However, now that I have re-assembled the thing, I can't get any pressure at the pedal, doesn't seem to be bleeding at all. There is no obvious leakage around the piston so the seals appear to be intact, and the caliper body is perfect. Any suggestions?
