Was looking at the old summer gloves tonight and thinking.....god they're wrecked :( .

So time for a new pair and I'm thinking of something other than Frank Thomas this time.

Was thinking about a pair of Alpinestar Gp Pro....

Anyone tried em :boing

My Alpinestar gloves are the GP pros' , very nice but take a lot of breaking in , kangaroo palms with leather fingers and back , they feel very protective though , £110

The £159 ones that R2D2 mentions are the GP tech's , all kangaroo , lovely :I can't believe it's not butter!

They also still do the original GP plus at about £90 , go see Graham, in Shirlaws.

A very good alternative is the Texport TX1 glove , DiRe magazine top rated , also £90 , also available from Shirlaws :I can't believe it's not butter!

I bought a pair of the Texport TX1 gloves a few months back and they are almost identical to the GP Techs and they're also a good £20 to £30 cheaper.

Great pair of gloves, they've been comfortable from the off, although they are still to be broken in and as I don't wear them that often it may take a while.

Close , but no cigar , the TX1 is almost identical to the GP plus , and exactly the same price , £90

The GP tech is a completely different glove , all kangaroo with kevlar stitching and re-enforcing panels , a much higher armoured cuff , brand new halfway through this year , you don't see many of them about :nono

The TX1 is a very good glove though at a very good price :I can't believe it's not butter!

Bought a pair on thursday. Cna't remember the manuf but they have 'Racer' and Shoell....something or other written on em.

Very impressed, this Kangaroo skin is the business and you don't really notice the two fingers being stiched together...
Road rested at the weekend and they passed with flying colours :cool
