Flickering fuel warning light

I have a wee niggle with my new VTR Firestorm. The fuel light flickers constantly on the dash regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. Now I know that there may be some sort of sensor or sender unit like there is in a car but what I am wondering is how easy/expensive it is to change?

What's involved?

ask on vtr1000.org someone might be able to help you on there, i'm not sure myself, there was a post this weekend about downloadable manuals, might be worth a look to see if it shows you what your after.

That would be super smashin great if you could Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian). Just tell me where & when to meet you to pick it up. Would a pint of lager (or whatever you drink) be payment enough?

I've had a scan of my pissy and I don't have a copy of it on there. I do have it on CD but I'll need to have a scan for it in my attic. I'll post up a massage when I find it.

I have a copy on the desktop, however, I have no cd writer on this computer, and I have mis-placed my memory stick.

You are more than welcome to stuff a memory stick into the back of my laptop and 'borrow' a copy, (its 102 megs) :2up

drop me a pm :P

No problem. I'll clear some space on one and get it to you.

I have the manual for the Mk1 SV650, Triumph TT600 & Daytona 600 and one of the R1's as well. Been trying to compile them into a library so if anyone has any other workshop manuals in electronic format then please let me know.

Likewise, if anyone has any Powercommander maps / Tuneboy tunes not available on the associated manufacturers sites then I would be interested in those too.

Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian),

I've got Honda workshop manuals on the hard drive for CBR600 F1, Blackbird from 99/2000 and Pan European ST1100.

Also got a Bentley manual for the E34 Big Mans Wanger 5-series.

PM me an address and I'll send you a disc in the new year.
