Trying to put a pyramids hugger onto my SV650 and it keeps slipping back down the swingarm and rubbing on the tyre. I'll probably try to bend the bracket away from the wheel so as to pull the hugger away but has anyone come across this and fixed it?

I had an issue with the carbon hugger that I have on the YZFR6. This was sorted out by using thick rubber washers which grip both the carbonfibre and the swing arm. It has never moved since.

The bracket has a couple of rubber pads that have been glued onto the bracket. It looks as if the glue has melted (heat from exhaust?) and then acted as a lubricant allowing the bracket to slip; ace design! I'll take the pads off and clean them up and try again.

You are lucky you did not get the Art "Evo" hugger...expensive, poor fit and rusted away in next to no time. I tried to return it 3 months later after I had only done about 400 miles and they refused. It looked like it had been on for 10 years!! Pile of poo!
