Suspension settings

I'm a bit of a f*ckwit when it comes to suspension settings - I've just jacked up my preload for when the missus gets on the back, but know I should do something with the damping, though I'm buggered if I know what to do with it.
Would any of you fine chaps or chappesses care to give me a hand? There's a pint or 3 in it for you.

Unless you know what you are doing, I would strongly suggest you leave it as standard, I am sure you will find Triumph's recomendations in your handbook.
