As most of you might know we are sponsoring dale on his bike. We are going to be fitting a Rapid Bike 3 to his bike and tune / map it. We shall post up charts before and after our work and also costs of the system.

So we hope we can give Dale the edge required to be more competitive in his racing.

Keep an eye out we expect to have his bike completed on the 18th 19th of June and he is racing at the next weekend so i am sure he will have some good comments on the running of the bike.

Dale can you list you current state of the bike below so people know what we are starting with.

Regards

1) Power Commander III

Cheers Simon,

The cold facts of the bike are that is a Suzuki GSXR1000K6; and basically it is a standard bike with a full race system and a Power Commander, plus an Ohlins rear shock and front fork internals. Commonly known as a Superstock bike.

The 167bhp figure comes from the BSB Dynojet dyno in 2006, and although more power would be good, the target is smooth delivery as there already plenty of power, its getting it down thats the problem. At most UK circuits the thous are only on peak power for something like 5% of a lap, so a big number is less important than good torque and delivery.

I'm racing at Snetterton for the first time on 23/24th June and there are some serious straights there so it will be a good comparison for the bike. As it is an Open Class I will be up against tuned thou's rather than Superstock bikes, so we shall see how strong the bike is. :2up
