HISS Imobiliser

Post by Kev »

in my other post - my bike was ALMOST stolen.

It wont start as I believe the HISS kicked in and now locked any power.

Do I need Ecosse to de-lock the imobiliser?

As I understand it, if the ignition is tampered with and damaged, you have to replace it and the HISS ECU which is £200+. With the new HISS you will get 2 new keys.

If its not damaged, then hopefully you will be fine and as you say, a quick "buzz" with the laptop and all will be reset!

HISS is a great thing, as long as the f@ckers who are trying to nick in can read the warning sign.. :I can't believe it's not butter!

You would think they would know by now that nicking a Honda fitted with HISS is a waste of time :roll

hotwire a HISS Honda...then deal with the padlocks and disc locks..crazy folk - common sense ZERO!

Called Ecosse - they said the HISS should reset when I put the key in. So means my battery is maybe flat as I cant even get the light or horn to work..I have checked fuses etc.. :(

A spoonful of sweetcorn can be added to increase the colour and even monitor your stools progress :2up
