Big Mans Wanger Telelever Suspension

Post by fido »

A mate who lives at Carron, near Aberlour has just bought a Big Mans Wanger R1100RT. I was at his place on Friday and had a look at his new toy. I remembered having a test ride on one of these Telelever bikes when they first came out so I was looking at the fork/headstock area to remind myself how the setup works. We noticed oil covering the top couple of inches of one of the forks and both assumed a fork seal had failed. I was just thinking about that and it occurred to me that the forks might not actually contain oil as there is a separate shock absorber, similar to a monoshock. Does anyone know how these forks work?
