Hi ,i've just got my bike running after the off on my way to the toy run.
problem is my oil light is staying on . i cant remember if the light stays on till im moving like my 2 stroke kawa.its a 1996 zx6r ninja .can anyone tell me . (baldy or erin perhaps) if not do you know where the oil switch is located so i can check that out .also can anyone find a manual cd down load for said bike as i can only find the newer models ,any help appreciated.

most bike oil light comes on when ignition switched on but should go out very quickly when the engine starts up.
Oil switches are often on the top of the engine. Look around the engine for wires going to diffrent switches and check that Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) wires are attached. It is possible wire was knocked off on your spill.
Sorry cant help with manual. But believe that ZZR600 may be similar type engine.(Dont hold me to that though)
engine oil pressure switch on the right side of the engines crank case. you can see it through the lower air outlet on the right fairing between the exhaust manifold and the engine block.
