Anyway, I started the bike up about a week ago to lube (I can't believe it's not butter!) the chain and it was all tickety-boo... but went to start it just now as I plan using it at the weekend and it's broked! Turn the key and the console says "Check" and it doesn't make that fuel pump priming noise... what's gone wrong in a week of sitting in the garage!? The battery is fine by the way.
Want to trade for a nice reliable Kwak!
Forgive my mechanical ignorance, but I'm mechanically ignorant!
Heh heh, I may be a mechanical numpty but I'm not THAT bad!
I did check the gear, it's in neutral although the gear display doesn't change if it is in gear... can't remember if that only works when the engine's running or not. Kill switch, yeah - checked that.
Checked fuses too.
I have home start with ebike insurance I believe but I'd rather not call if I don't have to - they probably send a car bloke.

you must have a good one. i had a zx9r and it blow the head on it after i gave it a good thrashing.
Never had a problem with my Kwaks over winter at all, and they were not treated tenderly!
Anyway, thank you very much for the on-line help and offers of real help but I managed, through expertise and pure, unrelenting skill to fix this issue.
Popped the tank up and checked all the electrical connections and tried again - no joy. Then I noticed the neutral light wasn't on even though it was in neutral so I banger it up and down the box a few times until it came on - problem solved!
I take it there's some sort of sensor for the gears/neutral and it was fritzy somehow? Condensation?
gentlemen just but a harley and be done with it :I can't believe it's not butter! :I can't believe it's not butter! ya cant beet a good old tractor plugging up the hills

Also... actually, I'll create another thread!
Just check it over when you get it back. :I can't believe it's not butter!
