Dyno set up for PCIII - how much?

Dyno set up for PCIII - how much?
After seeing how rich my RSV is running at the dyno run in Ellon I'm going to get it set up properly. It's got a Power Commander on the bike, so it shouldn't need any more hardware fitted.
How much should I expect to pay though? The only quote I've had so far is £350+ V.A.T. for a full day on the dyno.
Somewhere local would be better because I could drop the bike off and then go and do some work to help offset the cost, but I'm interested in what the going rate is anyway.

Do you want me to get in touch with him and find out if it would be cheaper to get them done in one day? YPE charges £160 + vat for a custom map, it usually takes about 3-4hrs.

If you guys are looking for power commanders I can supply them much cheaper than the retail price.
Also have you considered rapid bike instead of power commander.
For example the rapid bike 3 unit is a combined fuel processor (like PCIII USB) but also a ignition module and has an overrev and allows you to control a quickshifter.
You can alter the ingition and get more gains than jus the fuelling.
You can fit a quickshifter (for £140) which will be controlled via the rapid bike.
PCIII approx £280 retail
Ignition box approx £245
rapid bike 3 £345 + £55 for harness.
The beauty of the rapid bike 3 is that it is not bike specific, for another £55 you buy a new harness and take it to your new bike.
I can supply these to you with a massive saving off the above quoted retail price.

Thanks Bash, but my bike had a PCIII on it when I bought it, so I'll stick with that.

The quote of £350 (I presume from Simon at JAPerformance) will be for a full custom map which will be multiple dynos to get a fully customised map to get the best out of your bike.
What Bob Grant does is download a generic map from Dynojet/Powercommander for your bike and exhaust and upload it to your PCIII. He'll then dyno the bike and perform some minor tweaks to the map to smooth out the power and air/fuel ratio. Not strictly a custom map, but a pretty good map none the less.

Agreed, a bespoke custom map would be best, but I'm not sure I can justify over £400 (£350 + vat). Not interested in more power, just better fuelling.
My priorities are elsewhere right now, like actually getting out on track.
And a fork rebuild.
The battleship needs new tyres.
My van needs its power steering fixed...
Expensive hobby this.

When I spoke to John warrington Motorcycles, and YPE of Edinburgh they charge £160 + vat for a custom map, with no initial map for the bike/exhaust combo. I know this because I told them that they would not have the base map as I was using a rapid bike system and not a power commander.
If you are racing you could get a full power map and a map with soft power delivery for use in wet conditions. You could swap maps using a lap top as required, or buy the multifunction hub and switch so you can swap maps on the fly.
