I've had the new 'cat in bits to clean it all up and make sure it is in tip top condition for the summer.

The main thing that is bugging me is that there are so many fasteners securing the fairing and associated plastics and they are all different types. Unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention when dismantling the bike to know which fasteners go where.

Is there a manual anywhere which tells you which fasteners to use where? There's bolts and screws many of which seem to be interchangeable.

Also I'm having real difficulty with the two fasteners which go under the front fairing into the bottom of the air intake duct. I've tried every fastener I've got and no screw or bolt seems to fit. Also the U-Clip/FastClips are a pain in the ring piece behind the intake grill - anyone with a 'cat got any tips?

I suppose the most worrying thing is that I have two spare fairing fasteners and can't find any spare hole they might be missing from - any ideas?

There must be someone on this site with the same age cat as yours, ask to have a look at it so you can see exactly what goes where
