C-spanner

Post by Grant »

Anyone got a tool (I presume it's a c-spanner) to adjust the pre-load on a GSX-R rear shock?

I do have a toolkit but there is no c-spanner in it.

The owners manual says to go to your local dealer and have them do it of get a Suzuki "special tool".

you can usually get replica's of the original of ebay for bike c-spanners, usually come in 2 piece so it fits under the seat easily.

doubt the quality will be brill but as its not something that takes a huge amount of pressure to turn ( apply wd-40) it should be okay.

Usually about a tenner!

Shirlaws think it should be part of the supplied toolkit. Can any other GSXR owner confirm this?

Have you tried asking a Suzuki dealer for their expert advice?

I would suggest you wear gloves when trying to adjust the rear pre-load
