Q.....my bandit has been sitting outside covered up....but not been started for about 6 weeks i went to start it up 2day and there was a lot of white smoke came out........left it to run for 1/2 an hour after a while the white smoke went away so i swiched the bike off then started it up again a little puff of white this time but a slight sort of clunking noise just as i start the bike.....but only when starting up the noise is there felt all the down pipes to see if were hot and yes they were....cant remember this noise being there before or am i just being paranoid thanks.

Is it water cooled? If so, check your water level isn't dropping.
White smoke is not a good sign, especially alot of it.
It COULD have frozen up and fucked the head/gasket. That's worst scenario.
Or it could just be needing a good service.

IT could just be condensation from the difference in temperature.
It was minus 13 in Oldmeldrum this morning at 0830 and hardly has been above freezing all day .

For zax
Far be it from me to doubt the acuracy of your Citroen digital gauge.....but
The world renowned, Weather Online begs to differ.

Now if you'd posted, 'my car temp gauge said -13', we may not have had to go through all this.

Re: white smoke,clunking noise!!!
If the smoke was white you should be ok.
As a general rule of thumb white is water, blue is oil and black is over-fuelling. So probably condensation.
